Fantastic spacious stylish common areas. It has been ages I have been to such an uplifting lobby area. The room was a spacious - had a double bed and a bed for our kid and we had plenty of room to move around and store our suitcases. The room decor is a little dated but it did not bother us. The bathroom was new and spotless clean! The pool was great and the gardens was fabulous! They have their own well to water the plants which explains why the grounds are so luscious. The buffet breakfast had local pies, cheeses, desserts plus the western food. We also had dinner in the evening which was equally generous and tasty. They had home cooked Greek food plus dishes for international tastes. The staff were the best asset of the hotel. Unlike other places, they were happy to work there, chatted with the guests and wanted to help us have a great time. They also had staff of all ages, which is unusual but shows that they care for their people.

The hotel is situated a little bit outside the village around the archaeological site, in a quiet location. The staff is superfriendly and go out of their way to be of service (at reception, breakfast, in the bar). When we were there a forest fire broke out close to the hotel (which can happen everywhere in the Mediterranean in summer) and when the staff saw my son was scared, they offered help and did everything to put him at ease. This really makes all the difference! As for the rest, the room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was a nice spread, there is really something for everyone! The pool was really nice too, with a more shallow part for children (1.25 m I think), clean and with lounge beds all around.

A big old hotel that performs perfectly! I say old because you can find many details from older hotels there is a telephone in the bathroom....This doesn't ruin your stay it just makes you laugh. They had the most comfortable (a pretty ) robes. The reception was friendly and helpful and very efficient. We got a free upgrade without even asking for it. We received a full size bottle of wine complimentary, and we only stayed one night! We didn't try the buffet dinner, but the breakfast buffet had great variety. You could tell by the very polite and professional staff that we met at breakfast ,cleaning the rooms ... that this hotel is run well and their staff takes pride in their work.

This hotel far exceeded our expectations for the price! It was a large hotel, with fantastic facilities. The staff were so welcoming and helpful. The room was very comfortable and the bathroom large and very modern - with excellent shower pressure! Breakfast had a great variety and the pool was also great. This hotel is perfect for families - we travelled with a toddler - and we loved the grassy areas and beautiful trees surrounding the restaurant and pool. The hotel is close to Archaia Olympia and the exploration we did at the ancient site. A short drive to the main streets with lovely little shops and restaurants. Highly recommend this hotel - it was fantastic value for money!

Amalia is a hotel chain in Greece. The hotel in Olympia was certainly once one of the flagships. But that was forty or fifty years ago. Nevertheless, everything is very well maintained. The architecture is spacious and there is a huge, very cold pool. But you can't overlook the fact that the hotel urgently needs a thorough renovation. The staff were extremely friendly. The breakfast corresponds to the quality of the hotel, which is mainly used by coaches from 5 pm. The buses also leave again between 7 and 8, which is when it gets noisy in the corridors. You can walk to the ancient part or drive a few minutes by car and park there free of charge.
